Thank you for another wonderful summer! Adrienne truly enjoys this program, she's come back 2 years in a row, and again if you will have her back.

What Adrienne truly appreciates about the program is the casual setup and the fun activities. In her words: not a sit down lecture-type learning. I think children pick up more things when they are having fun and enjoying themselves. This year she loved the bead-making, mask activities, tinikling and kawayan instruments. The Saturday schedule is just right. Good thing she didn't have any tennis tournaments scheduled in summer(usually on Saturday mornings too) or she would not be able to make it. Location is a little too far for me (from Kaneohe), but I couldn't think of a better venue. The only comment I have about the facility is the toilets always run out of paper towels when I have to use it. I love the powerpoint presentation, and wish I could get a copy of it and all the pics taken during the program. Maybe if you guys can upload it to Shutterfly or have a FB page or something :) Let me know if you need help with that. I love your volunteer crew! Their passion for sharing the Filipino culture is heartfelt and their commitment to the program is very much appreciated!! And of course I would recommend your program to others! I noticed that the program isn't advertised widely and I first got wind of it from my friend Tess, or I would've never known it existed. I'm happy with the class sizes, the ratio is just right with the kids and volunteers. Overall, we love this program, and we appreciate all the love and care you all put into it! We are truly blessed and lucky! Much love and mahalos! May Kaneshiro

1] What activities did your kids enjoy the most? Why? What
activities did your kids enjoy the least? Why?

Josiah enjoyed learning the Tinikling. Gabe and the Teqniklinqz crew has performed for 2 big events for our family and Josiah enjoyed the show. He was thrilled to actually learn a little bit about the dance and do it. His 2nd favorite activity was playing Sunka with the other children.

Homework on the 1st day was a bit overwhelming. He was still attending school at the time (year round school). But we got through it and my whole family (his grandparents) helped out.

2] What other lessons/topics/activities would you like to include in our program?
A) Learning about the Sakadas
-Filipino migration to Hawaii
-Family trip to the Waipahu Plantation
B) Filipinos in Hawaii
-special Filipino speakers from Hawaii

3] What about the schedule? Is it too short? too early?

The schedule is perfect.

4] What about the location or facility?

The Fil-Com center is a great location.

5] Is registration just right or too much?

Registration was just right. :)

6] What about our Volunteer crew?

The volunteer crew is fantastic. Helpful, everyone seems like they wanted to be there, and greeted the children.

7] Would you recommend this program to other families?

Yes! My son really enjoyed this program and has been talking about it to his cousins and friends.
How can we sign up for next year?

8] Any other comments/ ideas/ activities/etc.

I also agree with May with the power point. It was great! I liked her suggestion of uploading it to Facebook or the blog.

I would like my son to get involved in other Filipino activities but don't know where to go or if there is any out there. On the last day maybe there could be different vendors to sign up or talk about there club/group. If not a list with information of events or groups we can get in contact with.

I couldn't believe how long this program has been running. I luckily picked up a Filipino newspaper and read about the program.

Overall my family and I are very pleased, grateful for this program, and thankful to all the volunteers that made it possible. THANK YOU!
